This retrospective study encompassed the period from July 1, 2018, to March 31, 2022. In the initial stages, 1045 patients were determined to be involved. A significant association was observed between the mechanism of injury and the failure of revascularization or replantation procedures, specifically with crush injuries (OR 42 [95% CI 16-112]; p < 0.001) and avulsion injuries (OR 102 [95% CI 34-307]; p < 0.001). Revascularization showed a reduced likelihood of failure compared to replantation, according to an odds ratio of 0.4 (95% confidence interval 0.2-1.0) and a statistically significant p-value of 0.004.
